We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful town!
Bruthen is a small country town overlooking the Tambo river. Situated 300kms east of Melbourne on the Omeo Highway/Great Alpine Road, Bruthen boasts natural attractions such as clean, fresh water waterholes and a pristine microclimate rainforest on the outskirts of town. Bruthen is central to many sports and recreational activities which include fishing, snow & water skiing, surfing, boating, bushwalking and 4 wheeldriving.
With a population of around 800, the town offers good old-fashioned country-style hospitality. There is home style-cooking and pub-style accommodation, plus a caravan park and several B&Bs to experience the tranquility of country living.
For one weekend every February the sleepy town of Bruthen wakes to the sound of house rockin’ rhythm & blues at the Bruthen Blues & Arts Festival. The Festival has its 20th anniversary in 2015, and is still going strong. The town puts on a showcase of stalls, music in the street, workshops, garage sales and of course music at the Bruthen Inn Hotel that is the best in its class. Bruthen loves its blues music and they know how to put on a good show.
There are many places to stay in and around town. We recommend visiting the Bruthen Arts and Information Centre to find out more about activities and accommodation.
Here are some of the local places to stay:

The Bruthen Caravan Park, on the banks of the Tambo River, is always a popular place to relax at any time of the year.
We aim to provide a safe and friendly atmosphere at the park and the whole festival. With this in mind, campers at the Caravan Park will be issued with WRISTBANDS to help park staff identify those people who have paid to camp in the park.
The Caravan Park is a great family friendly venue, and we don’t mind if your friends visit you at the park during the day, but after10pm at night, only those people with camper’s wristbands will be allowed entry to the Caravan Park.
Our desire is to keep the festival safe, relaxed and comfortable for all.
Please Note: POWERED SITES at Bruthen Caravan Park are FULLY BOOKED over festival weekend.
However, UNRESERVED are still available. Call today to make sure you get a spot!
